94 Honda Civic – distributor? help?
okay, i'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to cars so bear with me...my civic died out of nowhere while i was driving it so we replaced the distributor with a used one and it seemed to do the trick. a month later the car did the same thing and this time we've replaced it with a brand new one. i made it probably five miles after it was put in before the car died yet again. i've been trying to determine what it is i need to do. i know distributors are a common problem for civics of this generation, but to have to replace it twice in an hour? ridiculous. i was thinking that the spark plugs and wires might be the problem.
what could be causing this?

Check your plugs first, and replace them regardless if they haven’t bee replaced in a while. If you get the car running, you can easily check the plug wires with a spray bottle with water in it. You start the car and lightly spray the wires (while they are connected). If you hear a change in the idle of the car, then the wires are bad and need to be replaced.
